Welcome to my blog page. This is a place that I will share lessons that I have done in my room as well as tips and ideas.
This is a lesson that I am doing with the second graders. It is based on Mondrian. The students use glue to draw the ground, trees, and sun. Then once the glue is dry, they color the spaces using the warm and cool colors to fill it in with chalk pastels. After the main colors are added have the students add a little bit of white to the tips of the ground lines to add some highlights. Be sure to spray the drawings with workable fixative or hairspray to help prevent smearing.
